Complete your child's handmade wardrobe with this easy-to-make jacket. The Peach Patterns Blouson Bomber Jacket PDF sewing pattern is a collarless round-neck jacket with neat inner facings and easy to insert cut-out side pockets. It sits neatly on the shoulders, giving it a dressier look with a classic jacket sillhouette. The jacket is elasticized at the wrists and waist and can be made with button or snap closures and optional decorative topstitching.
The sewing pattern is suitable for toddlers through to tweens and comes in multi-size format from Sizes 3 to 12 Years. This is a unisex jacket pattern and looks equally great on boys and girls.
It is designed for both woven (non-stretch) AND knit (stretch) fabrics. If you want to use knit fabrics, it is better to choose a medium weight fabric with a moderate amount of stretch. Thin, overly stretchy fabrics will cause the jacket to lose shape. (Check out our list of suggested fabrics with the yardage chart below.)
The professionally designed PDF digital sewing pattern includes an easy to follow tutorial with detailed diagrams and full sized colour coded pattern pieces with the seam allowances included. Both imperial (inches) and metric (centimetres) measurements are specified. There are body measurements and finished measurements charts to help you choose the correct size and line drawings (design sketches) and a yardage chart to help you pick the perfect option and fabric.
The pattern format is suitable for both A4 and American Letter print sizes and it has a measuring guide to make sure you have printed the pattern at the correct size. It has also been carefully designed to minimise the amount of cutting and taping required to assemble the pattern.
