The Peach Patterns "Happy Pants" sewing pattern is for childrens' casual elastic waist pants in Sizes 1 (12 months) to 12 years. They are designed for woven (non-stretch) fabrics. The pattern is unisex and can be customised with fabrics which suit both boys and girls. There are 2 options with this pattern:
Option A - Harem/ Lounge style pants and Option B - Cargo/ Jogger style pants. The Option B pants have feature seams running vertically down the centre front and back of the pants.
Kids love pockets and the pockets in the "Happy Pants" are designed as an easy-to-make feature. Option A features semi-circular cut-out side pockets which can be made either in the same or in a contrast print and are trimmed with bias binding. Option B features cargo-style patch pockets.
This pants are easy to make either with a regular sewing machine or overlocker/ serger and come together quickly.
These are the pants your children will LOVE. They are comfortable but not too baggy and can be made in an endless variety of stylish printed or plain fabric.
The design will suit boys as well as girls and can be made with elastic at the ankles or without (for a bootleg look).

The professionally designed PDF digital sewing pattern includes an easy to follow tutorial with detailed diagrams and full sized color coded pattern pieces. Both imperial (inches) and metric (centimetres) measurements are included. There are body measurements and finished measurements charts to help you choose the correct size.
The pattern format is suitable for both A4 and American Letter print sizes and it has a measuring guide to make sure you have printed the pattern at the correct size. It has also been carefully designed to minimise the amount of cutting and taping required to assemble the pattern.
